Boredom invites us to step across the threshold
Mind like a mosquito, buzzing. Not settling.
Drifting. Seeking a place to land that will captivate.
Boredom is a phase state change. The in-between.Â
It calls attention to the place between empty and full. Between that which numbs us and that which seizes us.
Noticing boredom is to notice that we feel unfulfilled, that the totality of our experience and skill are idle.
Boredom invites us to step across the threshold and take the brave step, that step that we know we must take. That first step.
