Contemplations on love
“Love is omni-inclusive, progressively exquisite, understanding and compassionately attuned to other than self.”
“Love is metaphysical gravity”
R. Buckminster Fuller
To love maturely is all-inclusive. Warts, as they say, and all. To know the colour and depth of whom or what we love is because of the ‘warts’ equivalent. No good or bad, up or down.
All.
To love is towards infinity. There is no arrived. No set point. As Chronos time passes, love progresses exquisitely. Expanding in all directions. Contraction squeezes out the possibility of love. The moment we contract even slightly, we interrupt the flow and expansion of love.
Love seeks to understand, to attend to whom or what we love, as if they are the singular most important being or entity in the world. For indeed they are. They are us expressed differently, not separate. What we do to others, we do to ourselves.
Our field of compassion, as we turn and tune in love, is oceanic, patient, persistent.
We do not fall in love. For to fall is to lose self. We orbit in love, like electrons…maintaining our identity while being a part of the whole. To fall in love means that we can fall out of love. To orbit in love means we hold the shape and integrity of our love for the other….we dance together…
Love creates the field of attraction, the glue that holds Universe together. Without love, we would all blow apart, atomised and separate.
To fear Love and its immensity is to fear all that seeks for us to be whole. To love truly, fully and with our whole being is to know that no matter how whom or what we love responds, our love if a gift, a blessing…that will only expand and bring more love into our life…often in ways we would never foresee.
