Innovation requires being wrong, making mistakes, looking a fool.
In a culture that maligns mistakes with shaming, one that keeps records of earlier mistakes into perpetuity, never allowing the person making the mistake to prove they learned the rich lesson from the mistake, being a true innovator comes with risks.
Safe is nice. Comfortable is status quo.
Innovation lives on the edge, and the edge has no maps.
