Live fully now
Perhaps in the end, we are only to live fully with what we have.Â
To say yes to exactly the circumstances present.
Even in tragedy, anger and vengeance will not bring back the dead.
We get to choose how we show up today.
Rather a life that buries the dead and lives fully now, than one hell-bent on making others miserable for the past that will not resurrect the dead, but will continue to fuel hate.
This is not to dismiss justice. We all need to be held to account for our violence and hypocrisy in thought and action.
Can we hold the tension of justice without it infecting us with the cancer of vengeance?
