Ordinary is so underrated
The sounds of an early morning coffee shop.
Delightful bursts of laughter from the table behind me. Deliciously engaged conversation from a group of young men. Their happiness contagious.
A young family, small child, small dog. A life before them.
A man reading the paper in the morning sun.
The baristas banter as they serve their clients.
Normal, ordinary, and exquisitely beautiful.
Drenched in the luck of being here. Safe. Free to choose. Able to start the day with the Pacific Ocean as our vista.
A moment in time to be cherished.
Ordinary is so underrated.
