Rushing to judge
We have all done it. Caught up in the moment. Seen a short video, or a tweet, or a post, heard a soundbite. And just like that, judge, jury and sentence.
Often with a twist of righteous cruelty.
The law of Synergy teaches that we must start with the whole. It is what most justice systems are built on.
First gather all the information. See all the videos from multiple perspectives. Put the tweet, the statement, the sentence in its full context.
Context=the container that holds the text.
Withhold from our reptilian impulse to attack. Blame. Be righteous. Share and propagate propaganda. Or be of superior opinion well before all the requisite pieces are evident, hoping that this time we might be right and seen as the god of forecast for our accurate prediction.
Sometimes this requires time for all the truth to be revealed. For the whole to play out. So easy is it to jump on the gravy train of fame and notoriety well before the whole is evident.
Silence and observation, perspective, warm and cold data gathering…a deep understanding of history…all of these aspects are required before we cast our words and deeds into the frenzy of public opinion.
A virus has much to teach us. Hindsight will be the teacher with the greatest lesson.
Until we truly know the whole we are all fortune tellers profiting from the juicy gossip that seduces so many.
