Syntropic Negotiation
Negotiate – “to communicate with another or others in search of mutual agreement.”
We can play negotiation in many ways.
I want to win, which means I want you to lose.
Or, I do not have the self-esteem or stomach to speak up for myself enough. Therefore I will lose.
Or, I know you do not have the self-esteem or stomach, and I will not allow you to be exploited.
Or, Let us be sure that all parties walk away from the negotiation satisfied.
The latter is Syntropic Negotiation. There is a commitment to win, win, win. No losers. This might mean we stay in the negotiation for longer, exploring options that may not have been evident or available at the outset.
Synergistic Accounting is a powerful tool in Syntropic Negotiation. It ensures an equity of exchange. It also allows us to presence domains that we may not have considered relevant to the negotiation.
If you are going to negotiate with a shark, be a shark or be shark bait.
In Syntropic World, we prefer to keep the sharks in their own tank and instead work with people who seek a win for all.
