To laugh

Surely laughter is a gift from all the gods. The from-the-core belly laugh that spreads like a contagion, not just through our bodies, but all around us, is as powerful a healing antidote as any human-made substance.

In times of grief, crisis, tragedy…to find a place to laugh is not disrespectful. It opens the door to healing.

To laugh is to be alive. To know the value of life. To know the paradox of life, its terrors and beauties. The joy, unbounded, beauty overwhelming, and tragedy unpredicted.
