Try not to work for someone you do not want to become
You may have heard the comment that our character is determined by the people we surround ourselves with.
I have written many times about Little Atrocities. How we move slowly towards lies, deception, corruption and evil. Not in one fell swoop, but a micro-step at a time, often over years or decades.
If you find yourself working for someone you do not want to become, be sure to build even stronger reinforcements in your personal life that prevent the oh-so-slow possibility of infection.
The energy required to strengthen our defences against leadership soaked in cheating, taking the easy route, exploitation and corruption is energy we do not have to give to our life.
