What a day
I am writing from Germany, from a city called Recklinghausen, not far from Dusseldorf.
Yesterday I met – in person – people I have known online for years. What a joy.
The delight is that we were in person as we are online. Completely at home with each other.
I got to present at a University in Dusseldorf, only to a small group, as it had been a long weekend. Yet it was alive, passionate, and so much fun to be interacting with a group of people invested in the work of Syntropic World.
And then dinner at a World Heritage Unesco site in Essen, once an old coal mine, the architecture in the art deco style. Fresh white asparagus, in season for but a blink of the eye, the speciality of the day.
And a slow glass of German Riesling in the garden with my host, Michael, before falling unconscious with a still time zone-affected body/brain.
For an Aussie, the craziness of crossing borders and being in places where, within one meter, the language and culture change. Just like that.
