OptimismÂ
The choice is ours. Do we look at the circumstances surrounding us and respond with optimism or pessimism?
There are some hard and undeniable truths, evidenced by our own eyes, not requiring a scientist or politician’s confirmation.
Do we focus on the harshness of the situation? Do we get paralysed by the sense of hopelessness? Are we numb to the lies and hypocrisy? Desensitised to the years of creeping austerity?Â
Or do we turn instead to a future we aspire to?
Optimism at the least inspires action. An optimist will get things done whereas a pessimist is likely to remain on the couch, lost in complaint.
Any action, be it tiny or large, sets in motion the field of change.
To choose optimism, to turn to create a world with a future…to become engaged…now is as good a time as any..and in the doing to become one of those who in the doing realise that the power has been with us all along.
Optimism and pessimism are both infectious. Which one will occupy the hearts of our world is up to each of us.
