In the alchemy of existence luck counts

Lucky to be born in the country I am born in. Certainly not perfect but allowing me to dress as I please, (significant for a woman) speak up when I want, (significant for many countries) vote even if those I am voting for might be dodgy and corrupt, marry who I want, have access to health care and education.

Lucky to have my health, something I work on every day of my life to maintain. 

Lucky to have two working legs, arms, eyes and ears.

These are foundational. No matter our current circumstance, those of us who have these basic things are wealthy beyond measure. 

And then I have my love. Every single day so lucky, so blessed. Arriving late in life after decades of what we might consider unlucky in love.

Time is a curious thing. In the waiting space, time is endless. Looking back every day of holding for love like this was worth it.

Luck of the lottery of life counts. And then the luck that we create through committing to living our values unequivocally becomes the bonus.
