We are better when we work together
Some people are skilled at taking the noxious poison out of situations and turning it into fruitful fields. They have the ability to inhale hate and anger and exhale love.
Some people step into pressure situations and become the node for calm. Others, like me, disintegrate into dysfunction as pressure mounts.
Some are so practical at fixing tools and material things. They see the path long before others even glimpse it.
Some, like me, see human relational dynamics as clearly as we might see the line makers on a road. The invisible form of coordinating people is as easy to me as breathing.
We are better when we work together.
We are better as humanity when we acknowledge and account for the extraordinary value of these skills, and others, so rarely named for what they are.
