Not friendly for humans
It is a wild day, stormy, rainy, windy. And humid.
The ocean is chaos. Not friendly for humans.
The amplification of chaos in the world is just getting started. We must learn to know it and find the strange attractor in the swirl and confusion.
We have not raised children with the thought of preparing them for this type of chaos. The privileged child has little capacity to find any thread of resilience and adaptability. As for sense-making, and thinking in systems, our education system fails to address any of this.
We can no longer assume that this world will continue, as we, the adults on the other side of forty from Western cultures, have known for most of our lives.
Over the next decade, the follies of the ways of capitalism will serve up climate, economic and leadership chaos that will break civilisation as we know it.
The incoming Presidency in the USA is a warm-up act.
I look at the ocean chaos this morning. Such a great teacher. Yet very few are interested in its lessons.
