Beyond hypocrisy

I stand for fairness. 

If I have the right to do something, then I must be willing to extend that right to all others. The moment I do not, I have placed my rights as superior to your rights.

If I have the right to defend myself, so do you. It cannot be just one side that does and the other that does not.

If I instigate an action, I need to take responsibility for instigating it. Yes, everything occurs in context, and sometimes, an act of instigation is within a long history of eye-for-an-eye justice. Yet if I am playing an eye-for-an-eye game, with eyes wide open, and I continue to take an eye and then make my victim a perpetrator for playing an eye-for-an-eye back to me, I am the fool for expecting a different outcome. The game will never end until one side refuses to play.

The instigator of the action is responsible for that action. To blame the victim is to become the victim. Some people profit in countless ways by being the victim.

Our current world accuses one State of instigating a war against another, yet refuses to similarly accuse another state of starting a war against another state. The hypocrisy is astounding.  

Beyond hypocrisy. Not justice. Not fair. Yet the West falls over itself to defend the instigator they like and not the instigator they do not like.

It is maddening. My gut roils with anger. 

Man-children at the helm. Irresponsible, unjust, vengeful, brats. 

The fallout, always the innocent. Women, children, and the men conscripted to fight the foolishness at the cost of their lives.

All the while, the military-industrial complex and the elites grow fatter and greedier.
