Actions to extricate your victim
Notice anywhere in your world where patterns of oppression or struggle are on a repeat cycle.
Look behind the story, even though it might be built on legitimate truth, and see if there is any element of ‘poor me’.
Choose to acknowledge both the truth of your circumstances and history, and, now, take back your agency to no longer be held hostage by that story, not ever again.
Examples. Accidents that leave you disabled. Anything to do with your birth: – size, colour, ability, cruel or predatory parents or authority figures, your location, your economic circumstances. Real issues of entrapment within a justice system that is not fair. The current circumstances – being in a war zone, a corrupt government, and working for a cruel and vengeful boss.
When we allow the status of victimhood to rule our existence, we remain at the effect of the perpetration. Or, said another way, the perpetrators or the event that has perpetrated our existence win, and we lose.
This is a disempowering position.
Yesterday, I wrote about the ease of adopting the status of victimhood, here.
