Challenging the status quo
It is because life is constantly emergent that we must challenge the status quo as a practice.
When we sit back and get into that comfortable space of same same, when we resist change in all areas – our learning, physical development, mental stretching, worldviews, coordinated skills, and emotional regulation – we are already in decay.
The status quo must be challenged. The status quo is dangerous. It easily creates ecologies for corruption, conspiracy, entitlement.
The practice.
Take a look at your life. Where have you dropped into a comfortable space, where ease has shifted ever so slightly into laziness? What shock wave needs to be consciously brought into the system?
Look at your work, your relationships, your business. Interrogate where the slow spread of ease has moved to neglect. Often hardly noticed. But a rot nonetheless less.
In our geopolitical landscape, the status quo challenge is a constant.
It might sound exhausting. It doesn’t have to be. It is where life is.
