Generator function

To generate. To get started. To take the first step. To begin.

What is the spark that ignites the flame? 

The idea that arrives from the field that insists on being acted upon.

The word that spills from our lips, like a desperate bird seeking escape?

The desire to birth. The desire to express. 

The force we cannot argue with. 

The impulse. 

To be the generator function, to go first, might have greater risk. Risk of exposure, of being the fool, of disrupting a steady pattern.

Yet it is also the beginning of everything. And possibly the end of everything.

To generate is to be alive.

It is as simple and necessary as breathing.

The first step is not the second. In our generating we might invite others to take the second step.

And life evolves.
