What makes a business?
An idea, people, coordination, cash flow, a service or product that is needed and wanted, access to materials and knowledge, the ability to tell the story to people seeking the business’s services.
All of these involve relationships.
Relationships between people, things and people, people and places.
First, we must design for a healthy relational dynamic where no one or thing is exploited or regarded as unworthy of being named for its value and contribution. Relationships are tricky. There is a geometry to relational synergetics that few understand.
Second, we must consider the long-term side effects, the precession, of every action.
Third, we must use tools, systems and coordinating structures like legal codes, accounting measures and finance that do not corrupt, even slightly, the Pattern Integrity of the Source Idea.
And Forth, we must become Steward Leaders, working in partnership with the whole, employing natural hierarchical design to hold the shape for collective brilliance to emerge.
