I do not like my elected officials being bribed
Who does?
Who wants their elected officials to be bribed?
Yet here we are.
The number of unbribed elected officials is the exception.
Which means that almost every elected official is owned.
The owned by insignia is often obscure but can be revealed by how the official votes.
If we want our officials to do their job – serve the people who voted for them – then we need to take ALL money out of politics and make it a criminal offence.
Until we do, we get political prostitution. Worse, actually, because career prostitutes are open about their careers and hence more ethical and honest.
