Keeping the main thing the main thing

The first question is…what is the main thing?

It might be different than it was five minutes ago.

It might not be what you want it to be.

It might be something you do not like doing.

It might be simple, and you dismiss it for its simplicity.

It might be complex and you avoid it for its complexity.

You might feel that you have several main things, and cannot decide.

Or there might be so many things going on that even stopping to find the main thing is hard.

I was reminded of this today…I have competing commitments…a major launch of Syntropic Enterprise Masterclass world tour (read more here), while I am also touring Adelaide wine regions with my daughter, something that was planned six months ago. The main thing is what I committed to six months ago. Moments with loved ones are precious and in the end, they will be what I remember and what matters most.

Keeping the main thing the main thing starts with the question…what is the main thing…and that question will often be answered as an integrous and lived expression of your values.
