Kindness

Kindness

Kindness is the antithesis of scarcity.

It says you have more time, more love, more heart to give.

To take a moment to be kind comes from a field that has spare moments where we recognise other people, other creatures. No matter our state, no matter the pressures, we see others and have room for them.

The selfish, the greedy…live in a world that squeezes out kindness.

Kindness is a statement recognising our intrinsic reliance on each other.

We all get caught in the pressures of life, in the fear and terror. The trap of this type of existence is the loss of kindness. And when kindness goes from our identity, we lose ourselves to the bitter, the cruel, the vindictive and vengeful.

There is no fountain of joy in this type of existence. Only the hungry ghosts, never satisfied, never enough.

My prayer for 2021 is a geopolitical return to kindness.
