Let us begin here
“We can disagree and still love each other unless your disagreement is rooted in my oppression and denial of my humanity and right to exist” – James Baldwin
This is such a clear point made by James Baldwin.
Oppression comes in many shades. Caste, skin colour, ethnicity, gender, poverty, lack of access to education, health, housing, dignity, justice, energy and technology.
Above all, above everything – is the right for all of life to exist without being oppressed. Without exploitation.
Life that is seen and experienced as valuable and valued.
Let us begin here. By holding all life as sacred. By refusing to exploit. By dignifying every living being.
From this place, we can share differences, explore edges, engage in robust debate, break bread, and laugh with delight at each other’s idiosyncrasies.
We get to create this world by refusing to allow superiority and arrogance to take root in any form.
This is a Syntropic World.
