Making profit by hurting
It is really the standard business model of our times.
Be that through underpaying people. Or dehumanising them. Extracting all of their data and weaponising it against them. Taxing the poor and socialising the rich. Inviting them into a security wall and turning that wall from security to feudalism.
Or, through hurting creatures and life essentials like air and water.
It could be as simple as graft and corruption that marginalises the many for the gain of the few.
Making profit by hurting is so normal we scarcely question it. Until that moment we wake and realise we are the victims.
Profit should always be the outcome of doing good, sustainable, regenerative, and perhaps even syntropic work, that increase the well-being of all.
