Misunderstood
We cannot know why another person does something unless we ask.
We can guess. We can project. We can make assumptions.
Until we ask, it is a crapshoot.
Until we are willing to ask, to understand, to get the full context, we have only our own story about why.
To turn this around onto ourselves, we know the feeling of being misunderstood. Of having people make assumptions about our why, what and how.
To give others the respect we desire as the first act towards understanding is to show leadership and kindness.
