Obstacles are signs
When we hit a bump on the wave of life we may find ourselves wrestling with all that is wrong.
We may get into the weeds of the drama. The defence and justification, the pain, the burn of experience.
Is this the place to go, I wonder?
Where are the lessons? What is the reflection?
The only way to see lessons and reflections is to step back. Create some distance between us and the gritty experience.
What did I do that enabled this to happen? How did I show up prior to, during and after the bump?
What is this experience teaching us? Is there a listening space? For you? For the experience itself? For all involved?
Perhaps we might consider that obstacles are signs. Stop! Turn left! Slow down! Build stronger boundaries. Speak! Roar! Run!
