Only when we are returned to ground, to wholeness, might we find our wisdom

Rest

Allows the noise to drop, the relentless drive, the frantic story of needing to do….

To do nothing. To be ‘couched.’ To sleep and read and sleep and read…even to watch entertainment that asks simply that we be entertained.

To play in a garden, walk in a forest, swim in the ocean, bake..

Like the season of winter, we retreat in rest into our selves. A blanket drawn, the office closed, access removed.

Away from the distractions, the fear mongering, the overwhelming chaos of our current geopolitics.

Solutions are not found in the noise, from the level of thinking, seeing, engaging that is the noise. Those in the noise who are noisiest, those who profit from the fear, the fame…are the last people to look to.

Rest, no-thing-ness, the wisdom of the forest, the bathing in the ocean, the spaciousness from sleep and rest…

Only when we are returned to ground, to wholeness, might we find our wisdom, not in isolation, but in partnership with the trees, the wind and others who listen to the song of Universe as a source of infinite knowledge.
