Our threshold guardian

Imagine if the fearful voice in our head was our threshold guardian.

Not to stop us, but to check us at the gate?

Is this what you really want? It asks us in a very circumspect way.

If so, my voice will get louder and louder, not more quiet.

Check and check again that this is the path you most want to take.

And I will become louder the more you affirm it is.

Then walk right through as I continue to scream.
