Perfect Timing

If you want to catch a wave and ride it, there is a moment in time….not too soon, not too late.

When the time is there, you must seize it.

The trick is knowing the moment.

Learning to discern this moment is a combination of a host of experiences.

Perhaps a thousand times when you crash and burn.

Perhaps many times when fear grips and you wait…wait…and the moment is gone.

You watch it roll by….that taste of regret… ‘What if?’

Perhaps learning to focus, to disappear the noise that competes for attention, including the noise that says you are not capable, worthy….that others are watching …and what will they think?…

Timing…to be a regular at a coffee shop for years, where I type this now, and to meet my love…to be in a casual conversation for nearly a year…and then for all the pieces to fall into place and the most impossible to imagine relationship become real…

The years of falling down, between us, enabling a meeting that is as natural as the sunrise.

The larger timing of Universe, Kairos time, a harmonic, a mystery, a pattern and flow that is beyond our human ability to control or contain… (Thank the heavens for that.)

Surfing a wave is that sweet spot, that moment when you throw yourself off the edge and become one with nature’s majesty.
