Running in the rain

Dec 1, 2024

Running in the rain

Not just a sprinkle but a downpour.

The sheer delight of childlike memories.

Puddles and puddles.

Shoes so wet it becomes irrelevant.

Just wet is annoying. Very wet is delightful.

It’s a bit like life. Half in, and we never really get the experience.

There is a threshold to cross, from just wet to fully wet, that might feel uncomfortable. The threshold is where we get to choose.

Everything worth pursuing has a threshold moment. Too easy, no threshold, and the choice truly lives the meaning of cheap. Little value, because value has a Pattern Integrity of applied effort and attention.

Life asks us to show up, look clearly at the threshold, and choose. Living on the wrong side of the threshold becomes half-wet annoying. If you do this for too long, it might become a bad habit.
