Saying no to gossip
How do you feel when you find out people have been speaking about you behind your back? Specifically speaking about elements of your behaviour, character, habits or responses that they have issues with?
Gossip kills healthy cultures.
If we cannot speak face to face with the person, we are better off not opening our mouths.
If we need coaching support on how to have that conversation, held in respect to the person not present, this should be supported.
This is a hard discipline to practise. It requires us to step up as better colleagues, partners and friends.
