Seek the third
If we find ourselves in an argument – back and forth, back and forth – we can insist on our position remaining, or we can seek a third position that is not ours, not the person we are arguing with but a combination of them both, or even, if we are open enough, transcends both.
This is to seek the third.Â
From a geometry point of view, the moment we create a third we create space in the argument, the third giving dimension to the back and forth.
This space will invite possibilities that previously did not exist.
Seek the third. Breathe. Gift space.Â
This is also to play the infinite game which transcends winners and losers.Â
