Settling

I love the visual of the jar of muddy water. 

All shook up. A jumble. Chaos. Molecules colliding everywhere.

Put the jar down on the table, and slowly, with the passage of time, everything settles.

Sleep does this. As does gazing for long moments out the window. Or meditating. 

Sitting under a tree. Walking a beach. These unstructured non-purposeful activities are essential to our well-being.
