So much to be grateful for

Today is my birthday. I write looking across a glorious Pacific Ocean, the warm, last day of winter sun, on my skin.

Beside me, my love. Downstairs, my daughter making pancakes for breakfast. Returned from a walk where we saw many dolphins, many whales, a few turtles, some string rays, and plenty of kangaroos.

Soon, a few hours in the surf, working to get my surfing skills up. Perhaps a nap in the afternoon.

2020 has been a hard year for so many. After a lifetime of practice, living on the edge of uncertainty, working with emergence, and dedicated to a world that works for everyone, it has been my year. My work has flourished, my relationship gets better each day, my health is off the charts.

My friends and community fill me with joy each day.

It is a day of deep gratitude.

First to my amazing daughter. She is the best, she surprised me with her arrival, and her being in my life has made me a much better person. Friend, daughter, co-adventurer. So very thoughtful. There through the hard, here now with the joy.

To my love, Tony. Your generosity, kindness and love humbles me a thousand times each day. Thinking of you and every part of me, all my hard edges, my broken places, my feistiness, softens. You have brought so much to my life. Not the least, joy…we laugh and laugh and laugh every day. Your support with my business has made so much difference. With you, I live partnership. In every way.

My friends who keep me upright, who challenge me to be better. Who have held me when I have fallen, and celebrate as I rise. Fiona, Cindy, Michele and so many others.

The amazing community forming around Syntropic World. Incredible people who believe we, people, can create a world that works for all.

My mum and dad, the foundations of my existence. Integrity personified.

Grateful to be born an Australian, to live on this land. For the shoulders of those who have walked, toiled, died, before me, for all Earths creatures.

For my health.

For our home planet and this moment in time.

For you, reading.

So very much to be grateful for. Thank you.
