Surrounded by dolphins

This morning, I was literally surrounded by dolphins. They were touching distance from me. A half dozen to my front, and an equal amount behind me.

They were playing as dolphins do, at Watego Beach, Byron Bay. Catching waves.  Surfing. For at least an hour, as the dawn broke.

I watched them catch waves in pairs. I heard them squeal in delight. I talked to them in excitement, of the pleasure they brought me, hoping that the sound of my voice conveyed my feelings. I suspect it did. Heart language is Universal. 

My dog and I speak it all the time.

Life affirmed itself to me through dolphin. There is a lot of shitty stuff happening in the world, heartbreaking events. If I let in too much at any one time, it will break me.

Play is not optional. I squealed with delight, surrounded by dolphins.

In that moment, nothing else existed.
