Taking my own medicine
Something I am committed to doing is practising what I teach. Being held to account for modelling my models.
To do this well requires not just our own commitment.
We need to have the mirrors set up for reflection from others.
People who care enough to speak bravely and boldly when they see dissonance. People who are comfortable challenging my thinking and ideas.
There are formal ways we can structure this, such as the Integrity Council from Syntropic World.
And then to be sure that those in close communication, colleagues, friends, my partner, and my family, know they will be respected, and listened to and that their feedback is deeply considered.
Sometimes it is hard to hear. What I know is that I am always better for it.
