The abundance of light
75 years ago World War Two ended on this day.
The sun rose over the Pacific this morning with a rare-for-us cloudless horizon. You can still see the crescent moon in the dawn light. Fisherman taking advantage of the calm Pacific.
In parts of our home planet narcissists and warlords thrive. Democracy seems to be unravelling as the checks and balances have been eroded, tiny bit by tiny bit, for decades. Under our watch.
Everything normal has been decommissioned. Unusual, unexpected and unprecedented are the lead words for 2020.
Suffering is ratcheted up in the majority, while the skinny minority have increased their wealth by mind-unable-to-be-comprehened amounts.
The field is ripe for metamorphosis. The question is, to what?
We can use this time to dismantle that which serves the very few and create a world that holds a better future for Earth and all of her creatures.
But if you think this change will come from our elected representatives, think again.
It is up to us, we the people, grassroots, the riffraff, the misfits, the brave, the steady, mothers, children…
The sun, our constant witness, knows the abundance of light. Each day she defies us with her insistence that light, energy, life…. are Syntropic. We can, if we choose, leave everything better. We can be warmth, energy, generosity, love.
Every day we get to choose how we might contribute.
