The moment of truth
Promises of wealth and safety mean nothing out of the mouths of bullies.
A bully only knows the weapons of humiliation, pain, cruelty and breakdown.
There is no persistent truth or a promise to be kept.
There is only what serves the bully right here, right now.
The tool to bludgeon is often crude. Blackmail. Threat. Execution.
If we acquiesce to the bully once, there will be no end.
It is a reverse Little Atrocity.
Yet the first person to stand against the bully pays the biggest price.
As Microsoft employee, Ibtihal Aboussad, has discovered this after her public protest over the sale of Microsoft AI technology to Israel.
This is the moment of truth we all face.
Do we stand for something because, at the core of our being, we are playing a longer, more integral game for the good of all humans, or do we fold?
This is a question for each of us. It is also a question for Nation-states as they look down the barrel of the gun of a mafia bully.
