The Ouroboros
The ‘tail devourer’ or Ouroboros is depicted by the mythical snake eating its tail.
In finite systems, such as our Earth, when we debase the very elements that make our existence possible, all of humanity will eventually be debased.
When we design enterprises that extract and exploit, which is the foundations of capitalism, then we become the Ouroboros. For someone to win, another must lose.
We have created a world built on human-designed entropic systems.
The tragedy is that the first line of losers are usually the vulnerable. Those who have been exploited, colonised, extracted from by the privileged Ouroboros. Those who seemingly have little power.
Yet in the arc of evolution, the small thinking and short-term gains made by a few will cost all, even those who have benefited from the exploitation. This is the nature of the multiple systems collapses we face at this time.
History is writ on the table of uprising by the exploited. On humans who, like the imaginal cells in the stew of transformation from caterpillar to butterfly, refuse to stay silent, small, voiceless.
History is writ by the hand of Mother Nature, supreme in her ability to raise storms of wind, rain, fire and pestilence. To right the balance, against any possible power of humans.
We might be wise, dear humans, to turn away from the entropic systems we have created. To turn instead, in haste and with love, towards creating Syntropic Enterprises.
