There are times we need to fight

This is one of my most favourite songs.

I am not a fan of boxing. Yet I understand that there are times we need to fight. It does not mean be aggressive or violent.

It means to stand up to the bullies, the liars, the snake oil salesmen.

Injustice.

Cruelty.

That by refusing to stand by and watch, by getting into the arena, you know that there will be those who will throw punches, using words and actions..through shaming, cutting off access to funds, spreading lies…

Yet despite this, you step into the arena.

Again.

And again.

Silence makes us complicit.
