To cross the chasm fall in love with the future you see possible

Last week I was on holiday with the intention to spend every day in the water continuing my learning to surf journey.

I am at the point where I need to catch a bigger wave, and not just ride white water.

I have been dumped more than I have caught a wave. Arms, legs, board crashing.

My biggest impediment is my own fear. I look behind me and see this wall of water descending, and fear grips me. It is understandable. Yet it is this fear that I need to conquer.

And I will. I want what is on the other side more than I want to stay beached and safe.

This is the point really. We must want what is on the other side enough to walk through the fear.

Just as we must care more for another than we do what they think of us.

To cross the chasm fall in love with the future you see possible.

It is not easy. It is not safe. It is not comfortable. It is where the best of life happens.
