Today is the day to begin

There is no chance we will not heat over 1.5 C.

We are probably going to go above 2 C.

But everything goes on, business as usual. My government keeps approving new coal mines.

Over 90 people die in floods in Spain.

Extreme long-term drought displaces millions of people. The immigration problem that everyone uses as a political punching bag now has not even seriously begun.

The gears of our Molochian machine keep grinding. It is the runaway train, a monster that cannot be stopped. It must crash. And in the crash, cause such damage we cannot imagine.

When this happens, what will we have to turn to? What possibility?

I see a pathway. Rather than spend my days tweaking the deck chairs on our Planet Titanic, hoping tweaking will make a difference, we must put down all of the tools that brought us to here. All of them.

And build new tools, new models, new maps – with new mindsets that are not just a bridge across the chasm to a better, more beautiful world but an operating system for that world we know is possible.

The times are urgent. Today is the day to begin.

This is the work of Syntropic World.
