Trying to make lies real

If we keep telling the same lie over and over, it appears more real to the lie teller and those listening. The lie teller eventually has issues determining which of their comments are lies and which are real. A very confusing and energetically demanding way to live.

And of course, when a nation-state or institution lies and lies and lies, on the day they tell the truth, no one believes them.

No one. We roll our eyes and pass on by.

When a culture hears a lie enough times, and it becomes a viral meme, people believe it. This ridiculous phenomenon can become dangerous, even deadly. Yet our leaders use this lying strategy all the time, exactly because they know they can get away with it.

A race of people eating cats is an example. Hate and racism is the precession.

Just because we speak a lie many times does not make it real. To think so belongs in kindergarten.

Yet here we are. Liars liars everywhere. Getting away with their lies.

On our watch.

The tragedy is on us.
