We have arrived

I am not sure what people are waiting for.

The knock on the door saying its your time now to be deported for saying something that didn’t fit the party line. Do you really want to wait for that to happen? Or is watching it happen to other people enough incentive to get you onto the streets?

Our data, identity, thoughts, stories, bank accounts – our digital everythings is not ours. As Carole Cadwalladr said, Data rights are human rights. We have lost our human rights.

We can and will be watched, surveilled, photographed.

The law is not on our side.

We have arrived into the full and absolute grip of fascism. It is not a dream.

It never happens in one big blow. I have been writing about that for years. Inspired by history, that tells us again and again we arrive into totalitarianism through micro agreements, Little Atrocities.  (https://syntropic.world/little-atrocities-the-path-from-integrity-to-self-deception-and-bad-business/)

But here we are.

As an Aussie, I have so far escaped the full clutches of fascism. I watch. The voyeur. Gobsmacked. How easy it was. A plot developing over years, one Little Atrocity at a time.

This is not the boy who cried wolf.

The wolf is here.
