We need to reframe power

Power is the ability to move something from one place to another. To move electrons. To move atoms. 

To move ourselves.

Power as a dominating force demands movement of people, animals, land and creatures because those who hold the ‘power’ say so. 

The difference between land, animals, and other creatures to humans is that we humans have a mind and will. 

When we know we are being dominated we can choose. Until we know we are being dominated we are under the spell of the power of another.

Even if that power is a gun to our heads, we still have choice at that moment. 

It is this choice point that enables us to find our own power. 

With a gun to our head, we can choose to be directed by the person holding the gun. Not as a victim, but in our choice to stay alive. 

How we respond to dominating power, how we find our own power of choice, the journey to knowledge symmetry and awareness, and the unpacking of our own self-sabotaging mechanisms, are the entry points to our own power at any moment.
