You never know
The horizon looked dark. The sky a blend of greys and backs.Â
Not today I thought. No beautiful sunrise this morning.Â
How wrong was I, as I so often am. Â
After over a decade of taking sunrise photo’s I should know better.Â
It was only for a brief moment. The opportunity fleeting. Looking at the horizon now you would never know the beauty that flashed into and out of existence.
This little sunrise ritual of mine that I have crafted as the beginning of my day continues to teach me.
You never know what will happen in the next moment. To think we know is to begin to anchor arrogance into our psyche.
Place yourself at the centre of the potential opportunity. If it comes, do not wait. Say yes!
Remain grateful, even when the greys and blacks rule.Â
