Thresholds

Between child and adult

Between alone and together

Between pleasure and ecstasy

Between noise and silence

Between life and death

Between no and yes

That moment, maybe months, maybe years….when we are between.

Not quite this, not quite that.

That space filled with potential, undifferentiated.

No obvious path. But a still steady hum of possible direction.

Requiring exquisite attention. To drop below the push pull, the demands of daily life, the enculturated expectations.

To find that river flow that is uniquely ours. The pattern, the thread.

And when found, to allow it to take us completely, in full surrender to an intelligence beyond our limited mind acting alone.

Ultimately a letting go to the larger self that is wanting to be born.

Requiring trust that might only arise from being completely broken.

Patience, patience. Nature has its own gestation.

Everything will be revealed, eventually.
