Solid, real, honest

Genuine fatigue from doing hard physical work or sport. 

Or from giving your all to an endeavour.

Speaking up for the voiceless. Animals. Children. Elderly. The incarcerated.

Compassion. Wholehearted tears. Belly shaking laughter. Kindness that moves mountains.

A broken bone.

Not being able to reach the top shelf without a ladder.

Nature’s beauty.

I speak of these things because the solid, real and honest have been lost in the maelstrom of lies, hypocrisy, conspiracy.

From this haystack of ridiculous, shameless, narcissistic, selfish, ‘I win you lose’ normalcy, the yearning for the good, the true and the beautiful is that proverbial needle.

When we find it in anyone, in an enterprise, a team, a community, a leader….let us amplify this in the hope that the tide will once again turn to decency, respect, integrity, care for the other, kindness…
