Transparency
To show light through.
When we have nothing to hide then why not be transparent?
When there is no shame, why not be transparent?
We may need to provide context. Show the whole story and not simply reveal the part, which is another form of obfuscation.
We may need to become better at how we tell the transparent story to be sure the messages are clean and clear and not open to a million interpretations.
We may need to be clear about how figures can be presented in a way that hides truth, a common practice for spin doctors and tax avoiders.
Governments and businesses that shirk transparency risk being found out for the story hidden behind the curtains.
A well-educated public can handle truth.
We need both. A well educated public and transparent power players.
