Love requires our active participation 

Bucky Fuller said love is metaphysical gravity. The glue that holds relationships together, be that the relationship between people, things, our Earth, ourselves, our future and our past.

I suspect love is like light. Both a wave and a particle. It is also the field in which the wave and the particle exist.

As a wave or particle, love requires our active participation. We must design and create ecologies in which love is the prevailing force. We must maintain ecological hygiene with love as the field. Keep the communication clean. 

We must stand for love, as love. This does not mean avoiding speaking truth to power, or being fierce in maintaining boundaries and integrity. Indeed, our capitulation to the fear of speaking truth to power is not love. It is fear. 

Love stands for others, asking them to be all they are, just as we want others to stand for us.

Love’s complementary pair is not hate. Hate’s complementary pair is knowledge. 

Love’s complementary pair is emptiness/meaninglessness/nothingness.

To cultivate love from emptiness, cultivate an environment filled with the small things, activities and people that matter.
